Terra Safi was founded in 2018 when we realized that despite widespread environmental concerns, practical alternatives were sorely lacking.
Motivated by this gap, we are committed to creating sustainable solutions that empower people to make a tangible difference.
Long before, the single-use plastic ban in Kenya’s National Parks and protected areas, we provided our tourism industry clients with food-grade stainless steel water bottles. This initiative reflects our commitment to supplying only the highest quality and safest products for human consumption.
We are pioneers, amongst the first companies in Africa, in compostable packaging for the food industry, highlighting our commitment to reducing environmental waste. During the challenging times of the global pandemic, we provided our clients with eco-friendly alternatives to single-use plastic containers, ensuring their businesses could continue operating sustainably through food deliveries.
In November 2021, embracing a circular approach and after years of research we furthered our commitment by establishing WASTE RECOVERY SOLUTIONS, a new branch of TERRA SAFI focused on creating tailored composting solutions specifically for the African continent to tackle the critical challenge of Sustainable Waste Management.
This led to the partnership with BASF Starting Ventures on Tackling Global Development Goals with Sustainable Innovations (Community Composting)

As we reflect on our evolution, each step forward has been a deliberate move towards a cleaner, greener future.
